Will creating a partition on my hard drive to store downloaded files prevent viruses from spreading?

I want to create a third partition on my hard drive. There are already two. One for my files, and one for the Windows OS, both come standard. What I want to know is, if I create a third partition to store downloaded files, will that prevent viruses from spreading to other partitions? Will creating a partition on my hard drive to store downloaded files prevent viruses from spreading?
No. Get a good security suite. Will creating a partition on my hard drive to store downloaded files prevent viruses from spreading?
No, viruses will replicate and spread anywhere on your computer or whatever network it is on. The only protection is a good antivirus or internet security program combined with keeping the Windows security patches up to date.
No it won't prevent virus I suggest install an antivirus a free one like antivir or avast will do
