I was interested in making smoke bombs which consist of KNO3 and sugar. Also flash powder which is KNO3 and Aluminum powder. Possibly even making black powder. What are the laws against these or any basic firework and how can i get a permit to make said things and other fireworks?What are the laws on creating fireworks in California?

The law requires you to first call the police department and advise them to send the bomb squad over to your house to dispose of the material safely.
Potassium nitrate is also needed for rocketry. CA just isn't very nice to us citizens isn't it?
Black powder can be bought at most gun stores though, there is still hope!
i am not sure, but bomb making is illigel everywhere, so don't experement with the black powder. other than that not sure
