I am interested in putting together different pics and videos shot in nature to music but don't know which software would be the best. I ran across something called Muvee, but there are soo many different types. Any suggestions would help.
What is the best software for creating music videos? Or just a video with different pics etc?

I've used Windows Movie Maker and iMovie before. I think iMovie just has more free music to put in your show. It's also better to use. The WMM show I made was messed up. One should come with Mac while the other for sure comes with a PC.

What are the recommended materials for creating a realistic magazine?
I have the dreaded Odysseus project, in which I have to write a letter per book expressing the themes, six interactives, and a good-looking form of a book to put everything in. I was thinking of making it be a magazine, so I was wondering what some cheap, but realisitic materials to create it. I would like it to look like a magazine.
Also, can someone tell me how a magazine is binded together because I believe that is a key component. What are the recommended materials for creating a realistic magazine?
All small magazines (Time, Newsweek) are saddle stitched with wire stables through the folded middle of the double pages, which is almost impossible to do without the special equipment, so the best alternative would be to punch several small holes and either literally stitch with heavy sewing thread or by putting light steel wire, bending the ends flat and adding some glue.
Magazines have that feel because they use a thin clay coated glossy paper which may be available at speciallty paper supply places that sell to printer shops.numbering motorcycle oil powder facial rash

Do you have any tips for creating a dark room in my apartment?
I do not currently have access to a dark room like I once did. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what ideas worked best for them when creating a dark room in their apartment. I have a small bathroom that could possibly work and an even larger walk in closet. Any ideas? Suggestions? Tips? Hints? Necessary items? Unnecessary items? Things that worked for them? Things that absolutely did not work? I am planning on only doing b%26amp;w photography. Do you have any suggestions on the most affordable and durable equipment?Do you have any tips for creating a dark room in my apartment?
I had good luck with my last darkroom just setting it up in the bathroom temporarily as needed. The chances are good there's ONE window to cover up or you could just work at night.
Closets or any other room will work, BUT you have to have plumbing in there. Unless you want to install plumbing, just put a 3/4 length wooden board over your tub and get a temp hose fixture to affix onto your faucet. Make sure you paint the board with a glossy enamel once you attach some molding around the edges to contain any spillage and drill a 1 inch hole at one end of the board.
You could possibly, depending upon what your sink is like, place a board over it to place an enlarger onto also.
Make sure you get fresh air in the room you're working in.
If you can't get a room completely black for film, just get a ';changing bag'; and use that to load film for processing.
Keep the room as dust free as you can.
Thoroughly fix and wash your processed film and your prints or they will degrade over time.
You will need:
Stainless Steel developing tank/reels
4 plastic trays for prints
1 deep tray for processing film
Enlarger (I recommend Beseler)
Paper easel
Timer
Grain focuser
Dust brush %26amp; can of air
Tongs
Graduated cup
Safelight(s)
Someplace clean to hang wet film and prints
Squeegee
ChemistryDo you have any tips for creating a dark room in my apartment?
Do it with the lights out.
You need water and a place you can afford to be messy (not that you will but accidents happen). A walk in closet may not be the best place.
On the other hand you need to bathe sometimes as well. You have to be able to clear out your equipment when you take a shower or you may get your lenses damp or break stuff.
Make sure you have the most practical solution or your happiness may be short lived as it will be to much trouble to get all the stuff out.
Check the net for equipment. As many photographers switch to (or have switched to) digital, there are many cheap but good sets available.
make it BAAAARE dark.
e.g build a room with no windows and no doors... around you.
that is all.

What is the easiest software for creating a good digital model of a room?
I need to create a digital model of an existing room, including positioning of the existing decoration (paintings, architectural ornamentation) on the walls and ceiling. Ideally, I'd like to end up with a digital model which will allow me to see how things are positioned in space from different viewpoints. Is there an easy software program which will do this, or is it worthwhile to hire someone experienced in CAD software to do it?What is the easiest software for creating a good digital model of a room?
If you are looking for easy and cheap you can go with Google Sketchup, which should do the job (especially if it is just for visualizing). It is a free download and I'd say the learning curve for what you want to do might be about an hour. You can download it here: http://sketchup.google.com/download/

How much should someone charge for creating a logo for me?
It's for a Kids program I'm trying to start. He stated he would charge me $40 after he did the logo. Is that a fair deal and do I have to go through with paying him?How much should someone charge for creating a logo for me?
$40 dollars for a logo is very, very cheap, considering that a professional, experienced graphic designer will usually charge that much or more PER HOUR. A design firm or agency can easily charge a few thousand dollars but you can see how much a well-designed logo can mean for a brand and an organization (ie Nike). So is it a fair deal? Well, what is he providing for you exactly? Camera-ready artwork that works for all mediums or just an illustration? What is his background and experience? Is he taking into account your program's needs and branding? Is it going to be legally viable?
There are many questions to ask and the least you could do is look at his portfolio and see what he is capable of and if you like his work. If you hire him, you still have to pay him regardless. You can also search around for other designers and compare. You'll at least get a feel for who else is out there and may learn a thing or two about logo design. How much should someone charge for creating a logo for me?
Yes - actually you should pay $20 up front and another $20 when you approve the logo. If this person is any good then you are getting quite a deal!
I would charge you around $50 (depending on the size of the project - might have to charge hourly if the job was going to take alot of concentration) and I would give you a few examples to look at and then finish the logo and make it perfect for you. You would get a cd with the logo in at least 3 different formats. (one for the web and 2 for print)
my website below:
I'm not sure where this $40 came from but that is extremely low. If that is what you were quoted take it and run! An artist who is fairly new to the design field will make anywhere from $100 to $200 for a logo. A professional who designs or redisigns a logo can make as much as $10,000. That is considering the size of the company (How much it earns each year) and how many items this logo will be used on. Letterhead, t-shirts, pens, stress-balls, posters, etc.
The first logo I did was for a self-owned company (one guy) who wanted the logo for business cards and for the side of his van and I was paid $100 for that.
I would say $40 is a really good deal...only if you are happy with the design...if the design is no good and you don't want it then you shouldn't have to pay for it.
Most good logo designers would probably charge 3-4 times this much....you get what you pay for!!
I am a logo designer in the uk and charge 拢100 for a useable logo. I would put forward a number of designs and work with you to come up with something you were happy with...I hope this helps.
$40 sounds very fair. I think once you approve and he gives you a couple chances to make minor changes that this should be acceptable.
$40 is dirt cheap. Most people I know that do logos charge well over $250 on a basic logo and the more time consuming one is the more expensive it is.

What are some good tips for creating a container garden on a small porch?
I am interested in having a container garden on my apartment's small porch this summer. It would be great to grow both vegetables and flowers here,( I live in Kansas, where summers are very hot and windy). What kinds of veggies would do well in pots, and what suggestions do you have for setting it up and maintaining it? I'm new to this, and have to do it ';on a shoestring!'; Thanks in advance! What are some good tips for creating a container garden on a small porch?
My hubby and I do lots of container gardening.....even vegetables. Here is our method (USA):
Plastic pots 14 inches across the top.
Holds 25 pounds potting soil-we use Miracle-Gro Potting Soil with Plant Food for flowers (not vegetables-ask the clerk at the nursery for vegetable potting soil).
Mix water crystals into the top six inches of potting soil-these hold water so you do not have to water more than once per week when the temperatures hit 100 degrees.
Water well and leave it alone for a few days so the crystals can absorb the water. Do not plant or the swelling crystals will push your flowers up and out of the potting soil.
After a few days, mix 4 tablespoons Osmocote flower fertilizer into the top four inches of potting soil. Water in well and wait a day or so. There is also a vegetable Osmocote fertilizer. (Read and follow the directions on the container just in case your container is different from ours.)
Now you can plant. Water well.
Every 14 days fertilize with liquid fertilizer - we use Miracle-Gro Bloom Booster.
Check for a vegetable liquid fertilizer.
Stop fertilizing one month before your first autumn frost. But keep watering.
Let your flowers go to sleep after the first frost or take them indoors and place in a south facing window (sunny window).
Lightly water through the winter months, but do not fertilize.
Do not put back outside until all frost has past. We usually wait till the nights have reached 68 or 70 degrees.
Add the Osmocote fertilizer again each spring (or other good flowering fertilizer).
When flowers start failing, change the potting soil's top 1/3 or 1/2, mix in well, add new water crystals, add fertilizer. Buy new plants. This is usually done every third spring.
Hint: Always water till it runs out the bottom. Wait a few minutes and then water again. This only need to be done about once per week to ten days when using the water crystals.
Happy gardening to you. What are some good tips for creating a container garden on a small porch?
Hi:
Very good suggestions from the first answer. One of your first goals is to take your personality from the inside of your apartment to your porch area. Find your favorite color containers and create a container garden using vegetables, flowers and herbs.
You can go about it two ways. In designing, always have an odd number of containers. This will depend on how much room you have. I usually recommend to my clients, three to five containers. If your space is really small, do a large container and put a few flowers, maybe a tomato plant and a couple of herbs. You can do a few plants in one container, or do single plants in several containers. I will link you to the garden project section of my website. There is a page on container gardening and a page I just put up live this morning on Space a problem - a table top container garden. Both of these articles may give you some ideas.
The main goal is to use a light weight potting soil. You can add some organic mushroom compost to the soil. This is an organic fertilizer that will last up to one year. It doesn't smell great, but your plants will love it. Keep your plants watered as container plants need more watering then ground gardens.
Go ahead and throw your own personality into your outside container garden. Herbs will do very well in hot and windy conditions. I will also link you to the site map, as this page has everything that is on the website. Browse through and see if you can find any other articles, tips or techniques that could help you. Good luck to you and have a great day. If you need any other help, feel free to contact me.

What products are good for creating a beachy, curly look for my hair?
When i was in Spain i just let my hair dry after being in pool/sea and it naturally went into light ringlet curls and stayed like that for ages!!! I am NEVER able to get such a look at home (due to frizz etc)
Any spray-on products? Available in United Kingdom. What products are good for creating a beachy, curly look for my hair?
When washing your hair dont use conditioner, only shampoo. What products are good for creating a beachy, curly look for my hair?
To get beachy hair waves try this:
Step 1: Apply volumizing tonic to roots. I like Bumble %26amp; Bumble or you can try Aveda volumizing tonic .
Step 2: Blow dry hair until it's slightly damp. Blowdrying tip: Hold dryer above your head %26amp; train air downward so it flows from roots to ends. This way hair won't look dull %26amp; will be easier to manage.
Step 3: Scrunch hair with fingers.
Step 4: Spray in saltwater spray. I like John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea spray .
Step 5: Let hair air dry (keep scrunching until it's totally dry)
Voila! Now your hair should look similar to Jessica Simpson in the picture I provided below. Good Luck!
Go to a Toni and Guy salon and ask for there lableM Sea Salt spray. Wash your hair like normal - 2 Shampoo and 1 conditioner, conditioner is very important as when we shampoo we remove all the oils from the scalp and hair, you need to condition to replace some otherwise your hair will fry in the heat and sun. Towel dry your hair spary on the Sea Salt spray and scrunch dry lightly, leave the hair slighty damp so it drys naturally a little.... And there you have it, beach hair. Hope this helps x
Like you say its after a swim in the sea there are products you can buy but a cheap way that i find works just as well is fill a regular hairspray bottle up with hot water add 2 tablespoons of sea salt and leave to cool then just spray hair with this when damp scrunch it in and leave to dry.
omg, the exact same thing happens me on hols but i found out how to get the same efect at home! right, wash your hair and dry it with a hairdryer. dont dry it fully let it be mostly dry but still a bit damp. now, put your hair in a bun, just twist your hair round in a bun and tie it there. ( a low one). now get the hair dryer and dry the bun some more.... sparay a bit of hairspray and then leve for a few hours... perfecto! its magic (wel, if you do it right)lol... if it didnt work ask me a question and il c did i forget to mention something ...xx
It is like that when you go to the sea or pool, same thing happens to me! I have curly hair small/medium curls, but when I go to the pool I just love how my hair air dry's there! I think its becuase of stuff in the water. Glad I'm not the only tjat notices it too!
I tend to find my hair goes like this when I get out of the sea after surfing.
One approach I've heard of is spraying a mixture of seasalt and water onto your head to simulate the conditions - shouldn't imagine it wouldn't do dyed hair much good mind you
mix this in a little bottle.
IT WORKS!
salt, water, hairspray, and mousse
%26amp; then scrunch it!
ITS GREAT!
it turns out all natural and wavyy
You should try rinsing your hair with rain water instead of the water from your shower or bath.
Plus there is beach hair spray that you can get in N.Z. not sure about U.K though

What is the point of creating frontiers between countries?
Why don't we, Humanity, live as one big country? Europe abolished frontiers and that can only mean a big step toward understanding between different people.

I am creating a database website. How can I create a searchable directory?
I am putting a website together listing internship opportunities for students (with the permission of the organizations, of course). I am using GoogleSites. How do I post the listings so that they can be found through a searchbox by people accessing the site? I am very confused, help!I am creating a database website. How can I create a searchable directory?
If you're going to create a database website that students can use a searchbox to find listings, you'll need to actually have a DATABASE to store your information and links, which I doubt that google will provide for you. Most free hosts will not have this. It'll be better to get paid hosting, and they'll provide you with database access, as well as the tools to help you to create your website.
Your best bet is to find someone who will make the website for you, preferably if they have prior web database experience. I am creating a database website. How can I create a searchable directory?

If you're going to create a database website that students can use a searchbox to find listings, you'll need to actually have a DATABASE to store your information and links, which I doubt that google will provide for you. Most free hosts will not have this. It'll be better to get paid hosting, and they'll provide you with database access, as well as the tools to help you to create your website.
Your best bet is to find someone who will make the website for you, preferably if they have prior web database experience. I am creating a database website. How can I create a searchable directory?

What pieces are essential in creating a professional wardrobe?
I'm going to school to be a high school teacher. I'm going to be starting my first practicum in the next academic year and am already thinking about what i should wear. What in your opinion are essential pieces to creating a wardrobe for a teacher?
I am looking for affordable pieces (since i am in school) that i can mix and match. And/or pieces that won't go out of style in the near future. Suggestions? What pieces are essential in creating a professional wardrobe?
That is a great question. Below are just some ideas. Don't look at the brand or prices. I just wanted to give you an idea of what these items look like. You can have these simple basic pieces without spending a fortune (believe it or not you can find all of these at Target). I would invest in a really good cardigan set (sweater and the matching shell). You can mix and match cardigans with nice dress slacks and a skirt! Here is an example of a cardigan set:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2896944/0~23鈥?/a>
Another is a pair of really good and well made dress trousers. You can wear this with a simple blouse or again a cardian set. You should start with the color black. That will match with anything you wear.

Third is a nice pencil skirt and a one with fullness at the bottom. Color should start off as black since it will match with anythng you wear. You can wear this with your cardigan set or a simple blouse.

A simple blouse. I would invest in a white and a colored blouse. 2 long sleeved and 2 short sleeves:

A nice casual dress jacket that you can wear with your pants or skirt:

As for shoes, something low heeled would be best or wedge.
You want to look casual but not corporate and comfort is a major important factor to look for as well as being able to mix and match pieces to make different outfits daily. If you just have these basic pieces, you can start building your wardrobe bit by bit (that's how I started mine) .
Also take advantage of accessories too (scarves and necklaces) which can change the look of your outfit also!
Good luck! What pieces are essential in creating a professional wardrobe?
I think cardigans are must, very professional and cute. I wear them casually and for special occasions. Also pencil skirts, pumps, and button up shirts.

What should I charge for creating a cartoon logo?
I am a graphic artist / illustrator with 12 years professional experience. A friend of mine has asked me to create a cartoon logo for his business. This involves drawing the original art, scanning it in and working on it in Illustrator. I havent done freelance work in a long time, so I dont know what I should charge an hour. I would like to know what the pro rate would be, so I can base what the friend rate will be.What should I charge for creating a cartoon logo?
At least $250.
I've charged as high as $5000.
Depends on the extent of usage and the work involved and hassle factor (how easy or difficult the customer is to work with).
If it's a small company with little advertising, I charge on the low-end.
If it's a company with high exposure, I charge high-end.
It also depends on the company's budget, ;-)

How would I go about creating an online business?
I've never dealt with business before but it's always interested me, and I have an idea for an online business, revolving around the casino/bingo corporations. But I just don't know really where to start, what I'd need to do etc etc. Can anybody offer some advice/tips or even a guide to achieving this goal? I want it to be successful of course. I have a friend whose willing to invest for a percentage. But also it'd be good to know how much something like this would cost? How would I go about creating an online business?
I presume you started by thinking about your idea offline. An ';online'; idea is usually the same as any business idea in principle so I am guessing that you did the usual stuff like having an idea, a budget plan and thinking of your USP and so on. If not then do that first. In my experience, this is all about focus and understanding the risks that you are going to take. It is good to dream but you also need to plan for the reality.
If your idea is technology based then one of the things I would recommend is getting good technology advice. I wouldn't think of just getting some ';techie'; that you know. You need a genuinely insightful technological mind who can understand the world of business on your team. Why? Because the likelihood is that your business idea is likely to need a reality check for feasibility, costs and time taken to develop it into a live service/ business.
Online businesses have some very specific business dynamics which are incredibly important to grasp if you are going to make a successful business out of them. Think of having advantages in terms of having tiny manufacturing costs, almost free delivery and a global market. Disadvantages are that the world can bite back and improve upon your idea or out-market into oblivion. Think of Facebook and Friends Reunited. Betamax and VHS.
Plus your idea may not work as easily in practice as it does on paper. Stuff like an assumption of ';and then I'll just charge them a fee'; leads to ';OK do you have a secure site? And what about a payment provider? And is it legal to store those credit card details?'; Techies can do all this stuff but go look on a techie blog to see just how odd a bunch they all are.
As it happens our business does actively partner with people who have a business idea but no technical background. We provide the technical side but since I am not touting for work (see my other posts!) I'll just post my link. I just saw this and thought ';interesting...';How would I go about creating an online business?
USP: unique selling point. Often looked for by entrepreneurs. It doesn't have to be revolutionary or even a physical difference. E.g. Twitter market entrant Brizzly has the USP of videos and pictures. BUT also you have intangible USP's like Rackspace who say they are ';fanatical'; about service. Report Abuse

first you have to conceptualize the store, as well as have the clothing designs or actual clothing. Then create an image of the layout of the store.
Once you have the concept down go to an investor, then talk to interior designers and graphic artists to create your store.

Do What Ross does.
Buy your Clothing from a Clothing Warehouse.
It is a lot cheaper.
Why do you think Ross and Burlington Coat Favctory can sell Clothes for so cheap with Desinger names.
They buy from Outlet stores instead of the actual company

How would I go about creating a package to sell?
that contains products made by other manufactuerers? Say I wanted to sell box lunches for hikers and the box contains a sandwhich, drink, chips, %26amp; cookie, but all those things were made by other companys like Subway, Coke, Lays, %26amp; Otis Spunkmeier. Do I need to get permission from those companys to use their product? Can I get special prices from them? Do I have to give them a cut of my profits? How would I go about creating a package to sell?
It would probably be best to contact the companies first. They may give you a wholesale price that you can upcharge on and make a profit, they are going to want their cost back at least. YOu may be able to work out a deal with them for a discount for the fact that your essentially helping build their brand by including it in a healthy lunch for hikers. Profits are yours, but the companies may influence how MUCH you can mark them up, they don't want to be associated with overpriced things..that would ruin their own brand equity.

How would I go about creating a professional-looking modeling portfolio?
My friend is definitely model-material and I want to help her with creating something we can send out to companies to get her noticed. I'd prefer answers from people who have successfully done this already. Thanks! How would I go about creating a professional-looking modeling portfolio?
You are not helping your friend if you encourage her to build a portfolio. If she is ever signed, the agency will throw away those photos because they will not show the look they want her to portray.
If you want to help your friend, take some regular photos of her in natural lighting. They should be in simple clothes like a tank top and jeans skirt. She should not be wearing makeup. You could also take some photos in a bikini, but these are optional.
She can take these simple snapshots to opencalls. That is the best way to help your friend. How would I go about creating a professional-looking modeling portfolio?
I know what you are asking. However, professional-looking photos will not help her cause. Report Abuse
Take alot of pictures in alot of different poses. Like 150-200 pictures. Different hair, clothes, backgrounds, props, jewelry. Everything you can ever think of, take pics of it. Use different lighting and colors, shadows. that way no matter what they will see her at her best and take them to every modeling agency that you can think of. One of them will see something and that will be that. The diversity of the pictures is key.
Hello, if your friend has just the right look, you dont need professional photos to send to agencies, you dont need to show them that she''s trying too hard, a beautiful person looks great anyways, so just get any camera and take the picture, she doesn't need to pose for the camera, just look straight at the camera with no or little make up and mail it to them, and if you are insisting on getting professional picture go to www.geomphotography.com its a website for a photographer who's updating his website and see if he needs models to update his portfolio too. dont forget that these agencies prefer a natural look to discover, they are sick of the proffessional pictures... good luck for ur friend =)
PS: IN HER JOURNEY TO BECOME A MODEL DONT EVER PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT, WHOEVER ASKS FOR MONEY IS A SCAM NO MATTER HOW SINCERE THEY SEEM.

What are the keys to creating a fictional language?
I am writing a fantasy story and in it, there are words and phrases that my characters use that are not in the ';common'; language. For these, I want to have consistency and want to make sure that there is some ';realism'; for the language I am creating.
The best I can think of is my limited knowledge of Spanish and how the words are formed, how they mean, etc. I am using this as my basis of verb format. (I hope that makes some sort of sense?)
Anywho, what are the best ways/keys to creating your language for fiction? What are the keys to creating a fictional language?
I would avoid an entire language if possible.
If you are shooting for slang I would really focus on how words are formed, search for origin in them.
Consider real world examples on slang then try to draw a conclusion about how those words came into existence or why they are used to represent that idea.
Then apply that same model to the words you are creating.

You can get a sound-editing software from this site. You can do all sorts of things to it. You can also get a mixing software to basically put two songs in one. You can also get a mic and record some sound. This is good if you have an instrument or two you can record. Hey, after your done recording you can edit it with the mixing or sound editing software. What is the best movie creating software available?
I have windows movie maker of course, but it is limited, so I was wondering if there were other movie making software available for purchase or download.
Thanks. What is the best movie creating software available?
To answer the question accurately it's a toss-up between Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and the whole integrated Adobe CS3 suite.. or Avid Media Composer. Avid is the stuff of broadcast TV and about 90% of what you watch on TV or at the movies goes through it. However...it's not an easy leaning curve for the novice. If you're on the Mac then you have Final Cut Pro to rival Premiere. You can download a trial of Premiere from Adobe or if you are of the mind to get it free and steal it then I'm sure you'll find where it's easily available. If you want to buy then start with Premiere Elements as it's cheap and powerful for what it does.
Bang for buck probably goes to Sony Vegas though...although I don't like the way it works. Horses for courses. If you want to go on to make movies commercially then learn on Adobe or Avid. I work video for a living and use both of them with the associated hardware.
All editing software is just the hammer with which to bang the nail it...so the make of hammer doesn't matter. It's your creative talent that will make the final product something class and unique.
I hope that answers it.

Like the above answer,
Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 is reccommended if you wish to invest in software. Don't follow the illegal piracy method that the above answer reccommended though, if you get caught its not a good thing.
For a free alternative, use the built in Windows Movie Maker, its limited to what features it has, but hey! it does the job, and the end result is a professional and 'good looking' move.
Hope this helps,
Best regards,

the best one? Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 without a doubt.
want it for free? torrent it
get utorrent (utorrent.com)
then go to www.thepiratebay.org and look for it
there are less professional ones such as Corel's Ulead Video Studio and that's all i can think of rigth now. but yeah Windows Movie Maker and iMovie suck

How do I go about creating my own public library?
This is something I've been wanting to do for awhile and I just want details for now.How do I go about creating my own public library?
You could talk to someone at your state library department (check your state website - might be under dept of education) and see if it's possible, and what it would take. You could just buy books and open a library on your own if you can afford it. Be aware that public libraries don't get ALL of their financing from government funds. How do I go about creating my own public library?
you dont. they are run by the city or county councils.
But you can start a bookstore. Where you need to rent the shop, pay for a business license, buy books, pay for advertising and taxes.

What is the secret to creating scrumptiously delicious chocolate chip cookies?
I love to bake, and I especially love making homemade cookies.
I can never seem to get the chocolate chip cookies quite right though.
Does anyone have a recipe that will have everyone saying 'WOW! That's delicious!'?
I'd be delighted if you shared it with me!
Thanks so much. (:What is the secret to creating scrumptiously delicious chocolate chip cookies?
Anna Olson from the TV show SUGAR has the best, the hands down, tastiest choc chip cookies. Their chewy, and better than mrs. vickies or any other cookie company. Here is the recipe. I don't normally do TV recipes, cause their normally garbage, but this one ROCKS!!!
My secret ingredient is cornstarch to make chewy-centred cookies! If you want crispy cookies, omit the cornstarch and replace the baking soda with baking powder.
Ingredients:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
8 oz bittersweet chocolate, cut into chunks
Directions:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Cream together butter and sugars until smooth. Add egg and vanilla and blend in.
Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chunks.
Drop by tablespoons onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
Let cool slightly and enjoy. What is the secret to creating scrumptiously delicious chocolate chip cookies?
Use 2 egg yokes instead of 1 whole egg.
Use Frangelica Liquor instead of vamilla extract
These are the best!!!
2 1/2 c Oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
4 oz grated hershey bar
Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Bake for 10 min at 375 degrees.
**the key to any cookie is not over cooking them. Take them out while they are still a little gooey in the middle and they will firm as they cool and won't be hard!
Apple Tart is right! Specifically step #3. Most people overcook chocolate chip cookies. If you don't take them out till they're brown, it's too late. Catch them just as they're beginning to turn brown on the edges.
And use the silicone baking sheets on top of your cookie sheets because they cause cookies to stop baking as soon as they're removed from the oven. Metal cookie sheets allow for additional cooking as long as the cookie sheet is still hot.
I just use the standard Toll House recipe on the back of a chocolate chip bag. I replace the margarine/butter with butter-flavored Crisco, it tastes more like butter in baked goods than butter! I decrease the amount of white sugar by 1/2 cup and then add 1 4-oz. package of instant vanilla pudding. Roll the cookies into a ball and bake as directed on the package. The cookies stay very soft (they NEVER get hard) and they taste very rich, buttery, and chocolatey!
Any basic recipe will work as long as you have the technique down.
(1) ALWAYS mix your dry ingredients and your wet ingredients separately. Sift your flours, baking soda, baking powder etc together. Then use a mixer to mix your butter, eggs, sugar (okay, I know sugar is dry, but it gets mixed in with the wet stuff!) and vanilla. Once both are thoroughly combined, you can mix the wet and dry together.
(2) Add your chocolate chips after the wet and dry are well mixed. Whether the recipe calls for it or not, I always add oatmeal because oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are so good!
(3) Don't overcook them. Most chocolate chip cookies need only 8 - 11 minutes. They should look underdone when they come out of the oven but when they are cooled, they will be cooked, chewy, and have an amazing taste and texture.
(4) Don't be afraid to experiment. Recipes are more like guidelines! Try a mint extract instead of vanilla or butterscotch chips instead of chocolate. Keep tweaking until you have something you like.
1 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
combine together
2 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of salt
2 1/4 cups of flour
one bag of chocolate chip cookies
bake 350 for 10 mins.
Thats mine and my friends love them
Basic toll house one is what I';ve always used.
Just made some.
3/4 cups of butter
3/4 cups of sugar
3/4 cups of brown sugar
combine together
then add in
2 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla
1/4 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 tsp of water
mix well
add in
2 1/4 cups of flour
amount of chocolate chips you like.(add as little or as many as you like, it won't screw up the recipe)
add nuts if you like
Drop by spoonful onto parchment lined cookies sheets, bake 350 degree oven until soft and golden, take them out before they are brown, they continue to bake after you take them out.
Now my trick for all cookies is to use at least 4 cookie sheets...this way you always have 2 in baking and 2 out cooling and loading up with your next batch. You never want to load up hot cookie sheets..the batter will spread.
Always line your sheets with parchment paper, you'll never burn another cookie again. And you can line once, bake, and load up again using the same sheet of parchment paper.
Also in my oven chocolate chips cookies take 12 minutes. At 6 minutes into baking time, I switch the top sheet with the bottom sheet and I turn them 180 degrees to get an even baking.
Mine are just about done at 12 minutes, but I take them out as they will continue to bake! I transfer immediately to baking racks and let the cookies cool.

What are some ideas for creating a vintage style room with black and white damask wallpaper?
i have the wallpaper i want to use chosen out.
http://www.ukwallpaper.co.uk/products/as-black-and-white.htm
its the top one.
i was going to put that on two walls and have the other two white.
i wanted to have my accessories hot pink and girly.
iv been looking around for a small chandelier but i havnt been able to find one that is smallish and not over the top.
please give me some ideas! What are some ideas for creating a vintage style room with black and white damask wallpaper?
Awesome!!! I love this!!!
Think glass, silver, %26amp; pink-
crystal or glass candleholders, vase, lamp or chandelier.
silver framed mirrors or pictures, silver vanity for your perfume bottles, silver candles for your glass holders.
pink %26amp; black %26amp; or silver bedding, silk type throw pillows, plush rug, soft flowy curtains. What are some ideas for creating a vintage style room with black and white damask wallpaper?
try architectural salvage stores in your area. do a google or yahoo search. You might find that the perfect chandelier( not the right color spray paint it) and more accessories to go in your newly designed room. I love Damask. However, it can be overwhelming. I actually would do one wall with the Damask! It will make more of a statement! Do you have a lot of light coming into the room? If yes, I would try use a very dark blue black paint or even black paint on the opposing walls or one of your favorite colors.as this will make it more dramatic. .. and don't forget to paint the ceiling. Also, Paint the Chandlier black if you will be using another color other than black for walls. if you will be using black for the opposing walls then, I would paint the chandlier white and add black and white and silver accessories for a more of a designer look. It will be a lot more peaceful to focus on just a few colors instead of many colors.... Best of Luck!
check out to see if there are any habitat for humanity stores in your area or somthing simular or even some 2nd hand stores a lot of times when habitat for humanity goes into a old homes for repairs or to demo them they strip them out and sell the old fixtures and use the proceeds to help other families repair or build them new homes and left over fixtures and stuff from new builds they sell also oh and even hardware stores donate to them any way you would be surprised on some of cool lighting fixtures they have. and if i were you that wall paper is so dramatic you might want to do 3 wall rather than 2 it might look odd if you don't and with the black and white wall paper i would choose red accents instead of pink there is so much black it will drowned out the pink but the wall paper under that one is a little more gray pink would look sharp with that
i think you could find a really nice chandelier and desk at the store 'bathroom grafitti'; it sounds weird but its a really cool retro store. look it up online maybe there is a store near you :]
hope it helped!

How do you go about creating a number system?
I've researched number systems, but I'm still not sure how I would make one of my own. Are there steps to follow? Anything in particular that I have to take into consideration? Thanks. How do you go about creating a number system?
First you need to decide what base your number system will be in. You can choose to make it conform to the intervals of the logical world, and have an integer base (such as 2, 8, 16 like binary, octal and hexadeciamal respectively) - then you need to have an idea of symbols to represent your number system - or you could just use 0-9 and go into the alphabet - maybe a greek alphabet if you want.
What you also could do, is make a Transcendental number system based off 蟺 or e, or make up your own number (I recommend one that you get from some cool formula rather than one you just make up) - and say 1 lots of it or 2 lots of it. Radians is its own number system with 蟺s (e.g. 3蟺/2) - though this would technically be still the old number system.
Why would you want to make your own anyway? How do you go about creating a number system?
Each position is the next power of the system.
e.g. in the normal system base 10: their are 10 symbols:0 to 9
and say 12345. means 1x (10 pwr 4 =10 to the 4th=10,000) + 2 x (10 pwr 3 =1000)+ 3 x (10 pwr 2=100) + 4 x (10 prw 1 =10) + 5 x (10 pwr 0 =1)
So system base b :12345. means 1x (b pwr 4 =b to the 4th) + 2 x( b pwr 3) + 3 x (b pwr 2) + 4 x (b prw 1 =b) + 5 x (b pwr 0 =1).
e.g. base 6: so b=6:
say 12345.base 6 means 1x (6 pwr 4 =6 to the 4th=1296) + 2 x( 6 pwr 3 =216)+ 3 x( 6 pwr 2=36) + 4 x( 6 prw 1 =6) + 5 x (6 pwr 0 =1)=
thus: 12345base 6= 1x1296+2x216+3x36+4x6+5x1=1865base 10
Note base 6 system can only have 6 symbols i.e 0 to 5.
so 7 base 6 has no meaning; neither has 6 base 6.
7 base 10=11 base 6 and 6 base 10=10 base 6.

What are the steps to creating a profitable online business?
I'm looking to sell products and I'm not sure if I should go the drop-ship route. I need some advice from someone who has already been through the steps and has made it out with good results. What are the steps to creating a profitable online business?
1) find your niche. is this a specialty product, or something that amazon.com and ebay.com already offer for low prices? If you're willing to underbid them, definitely post your thing on ebay or your item on amazon at a lower than retail price.
2) If you decide to start your own website, you're going to want to make sure you get listed on all the search engines, shopzilla.com, mysimons.com, nextag.com, and all those other websites that compare prices among many many retailers.
3) Customer support is your best friend. Treat your customers with the best respect you can offer. Provide yourself as more than a business person... as a friend. This is literally what drove both Wal-Mart, Amazon, and Starbucks to a billion dollar business.
I's obviously not as simple as this, but I wish you luck :D

What are the penalties for creating a false birth certificate and applying for a social security number?
For this hypothetical situation, assume the offense occurs in California, and the identity is used to acquire a passport but not for fraudulent purposes (no credit cards or theft).
If you have a max fine/prison term also list a source if you know of one. What are the penalties for creating a false birth certificate and applying for a social security number?
It is a fourth degree possession of false government documentation (up to five years in prison, usually less, and probation/parole is within the sentence) felony.
It won't work either as Social Security Officers are required to verify all original documents including Passports.
What you should attempt to do is create false credentials in order to obtain a passport then use that passport to obtain an ssn, then you will have a new identity.
The government is on the verge of bankruptcy so don't expect to go to prison (probation, most likely) unless you plan on selling the documents and are deemed a threat to society. What are the penalties for creating a false birth certificate and applying for a social security number?
I can't tell you what the fines or penalties are...
I am just curious how you say that getting a passport is not fraud.
A false birth certificate is fraud, whether money is involved or not. You are trying to hide your real identity.
You get to become President of the United States.

Organizing a fundraising event does not have to be expensive, especially if you have a volunteer base that can help you. Go here to find out how to organize your event, expand on your event to make more money, and how to get people to participate:

You'll have to spend some time looking around the website to answer all your questions, but pay special attention to information about walk-a-thons, dance-a-thons,publicity,donors, and location. Even though you want to do a walk-a-thon, information about charity runs, golf tournaments and so on will help you learn how to put it together.
As for your stickers, you could design your own using clip art and such, or if it needs to be more elaborate than that, go to your local community college and see a graphics design class would be interested.

How can I go about creating a local server accessible to other computers?
I'd like to make a server out of one of the computers in my house that other computers could connect to.
Not so much for transferring files like a workgroup, but more for 2 or more computers to be able to play games with eachother that require they be connected to the same server ip.
Another preference I have is that it would be implemented over a wireless network.
Any tips or places I can be directed towards for more info is appreciated. How can I go about creating a local server accessible to other computers?
one option is to install linux to the computer serving as the server then install ethernet cards on all computers and get a switch (or a hub) and connect the computers to the switch.

one option is to install linux to the computer serving as the server then install ethernet cards on all computers and get a switch (or a hub) and connect the computers to the switch.
What are the steps in creating a movie? How do you start once you have an idea of a story?
I'd like to know how stories and ideas become movies...i mean, if a have this story i have imagined and i want to make a movie out of it, where should i start from? What are the steps in creating a movie? How do you start once you have an idea of a story?
When i make movies in my school we start with our idea.
then we make a Story board.
-Which is a sequence chain on a big piece of paper maybe 20 box's on each page and you draw the pictures of how you want the movie to be and think about every main part and draw it. under neither each picture should be a description of whats happening. such as ';actor1 is walking in to the kitchen and looking in the refrigerator.
-it should be well drawn enough that any director can pick up your story board and make your movie from it.
-then you need to make a script for you actors if you choose to have dialogue. this should also include stage directions and emotions and anything els that important for the actor to know.
-then you need actors that fit the part of what ever you need them to do. if its a intense part then you might not want some everyday person you might want someone with acting experience.
-next you need a camera and start filming with each part. do each one twice at least so you can pick the better one.
-then you will need to upload it to a computer and edit it how ever you want
-finally burn it to a C.D and show it to everyone =DWhat are the steps in creating a movie? How do you start once you have an idea of a story?
Well, first, you want to make a script out of the dialogue. Include camera directions and who to focus on.
Next, find actors who fit the roles and if you are acting, a cameraman. This should not be hard especially if you have a lot of close friends who would be willing to help you out.
Find a place or places that fit the settings of your film. Record your movie. Make sure that your camera person has a steady hand. Warning: This may take many takes to get it right.
Finally, take your good clips and using window's movie maker, put it into a movie.
I hope my advice helps! Have fun making your movie!
you will need locations to film it in. you need a cast for it. you need a script for the cast. the type of movie it will be. what it will be about. is that what you meant.

How should i start by creating a recycling program at my high school?
im a junior in high school and i would really like to start a recycling program. how should go about this and what steps should i take to achieve my goal? How should i start by creating a recycling program at my high school?
start by asking your principal to put recycling bins in your cafeteria for bottles and cans.
then later on try to get bins in every classroom for paper!!How should i start by creating a recycling program at my high school?
For example like at our school when we have field day (which is once a year) or any other big activities we have kids bring in cans and plastics and we recycle them but we give out like wrist bands for them to dress down of we give away raffle tickets for certain things be creative. Talk to your principle about it or one of your fav teachers.

What software is good for creating home movies?
I want to make a movie from a lot of pictures and video that I have. I want to be able to manipulate the pictures and video a lot. I want to be able to freeze video, make video go backwards, change colors, zoom in and out, and as much things possible while my music is playing. Id also like to be able to mix the songs back and forth as a DJ would. Any ideas on what is a good program out there for this? Thanks!!What software is good for creating home movies?
Windows Movie Maker on Windows in your Accessories folder or if you want something that ACTUALLY works get Adobe Premier Pro
If you have a Mac you will have iMovie08 and Garage Band or get Final Cut Pro which REALLY works.

What are the drawbacks to creating a government option for health care?
I can't see any disadvantages for this, as this can provide competition for more expensive plans. Please someone let me know if I am missing anything? What are the drawbacks to creating a government option for health care?
It will create a larger government with more control. It was once said by I think Winston Churchill, but I'm not sure, ';A government powerful enough to give you any thing you want, is powerful enough to take anything it wants.'; Plus, It makes the productive pay for the lazy. What are the drawbacks to creating a government option for health care?
A government option eventually grows to the point of eating private health care altogether - the ultimate intention of the government health care system. A government owned system then, as a single entity with no competition and no obligation to ';earn'; money for its services, has no reason to hold those services to the high standard that a private business would require. Or any standards at all, really.
This is not about your health. This is about the State *controlling* your health, and thus controlling you.
No, thanks.
The government option can operate continuously in the red while private insurance cannot. That means that the insurance premiums for the government option will be lower than any private insurance. That will cause people to op for the government option which will mean private insurance will see a drop in the number of people the insure which in turn will cause them to raise rates which in turn drive more people to the government option. Over time private insurance companies will get out of health insurance leaving only the government option.
This is what Obama wants to happen. He really wants Universal Health Care with a single payer system but knowing he cannot get it up front is willing to use the government option to achieve that goal. He is also willing to bring the government option in through the back door if he cannot get it through the front door.
Here is my opinion. After the government option is put in place, it will drive all the other plans out of the market. That will leave the gov't option and only the gov't option, guess what, doctors will retire without replacements, and there will be government medical care boards to decide what can and cannot be done. I saw it in Europe, so I don't trust any politician that says anything to the contrary. Now, if you don't mind waiting for over two years to get a gall bladder removed and you can stand the pain while waiting then go for it. Another thing, if you don't mind the doc giving you stitches without pain killers again I say go for it. We will see a loss of quality and see an increase in cost and longer waits for all types of medical processes.
The other countries like England and France that already have universal health care as Obama would like America to emulate, those countries are going bankrupt trying to pay for it and people over there literally have to wait over 6 months for treatment. No government agency in America (or much of Europe for that matter) do well at all either. The Postal Service is in debt by Billions. Social Security is on the verge of bankruptcy. Medicare and Medicaid have so much waste spending Obama proposed paying for Gov't option health care with that waste money. Absolutely none of these programs work in real life. Only in theory.
Free market solutions have been proposed to create competition. Such as allowing companies to compete across state lines. Splitting the largest companies (95% of Alabama gets insurance from one company according to Obama). And then allowing poor and pre existing conditioned patients to jump on medicare or medicaid instead of the whole country jumping on the government plan.
Obama is ignoring lots of better options and instead wants the government to take over the industry using tax payer money. There are too many private alternatives that work much better.
Have you ever seen how the post office works--the continual rate increases--lol. In fact if you can name one government project that worked well--came in within budget--and wasn't riddled with waste and fraud--please illuminate us all.

How do i go about creating my own website?
I need to know how to create a website and how to set it up where the members pay to gain access. If possible i want it to be transferred into my paypal account. How do i go about creating my own website?
As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex: www.yahoo.com). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.
To get further information take a look at:
http://www.threehosts.com/build
You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa %26amp; PayPal. It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!
If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.
Take a look at:
http://www.threehosts.com/business
There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online or do/accept any online payments. By using each of them, everything you need for such a website is provided in one business Hosting Package.
Hope this helps. How do i go about creating my own website?
gman,
Creating a website is easy enough. For a site like this that generates income, you need a hosted site, not a free site. A free site will not generate the traffic or income that you need.
First get a web host. Check the article below. The host provides all the tools you need and applications to create the site. I suggest Wordpress to make the website as its easy to do, and looks great.
If you check Paypal you will find a link to getting a paypal button that you can include on the intro page of your website.
Good Luck
I believe what you really want to learn is how to build a membership site.

What are some reasons for creating a Rollercoaster or themepark?
I'm doing a project for my english class on inventions and i cant figure out what are some reasons for creating a theme park?Example: for money or what? What are some reasons for creating a Rollercoaster or themepark?
Absolutely, for making money! That would be the first reason. However, you have to go beyond that reason, and look at just WHO is going to own, or invest, in the venture.
If you have a group of local people (of a certain community) who pool their money together and build the park, they know having it their will draw people...so, they begin bringing in money from the theme park, and use that as collateral to build more local businesses to support the larger number of people who come to the area--restaurants, hotels, stores, gas stations, etc.
See how that works? The theme parks pull in people, or tourists, and that causes a need for goods and services, so the initial investment of the theme park can bring money and tourists into the area, create jobs for local residents, and build more businesses, to support the larger number of people who are in the community on a daily basis spending money.
Now, if you expand the idea further, like DIsney has, instead of creating a town that surrounds a theme park, one can make it a regional or even state-wide thing...really, can one hear the name Orlando without thinking of Disney? Hardly!
Orlando leads the state of Florida with income generated from tourists...and that, my friend, is how you make a state well-off, and able to provide for its citizens. What are some reasons for creating a Rollercoaster or themepark?
It's a whole cycle.

How to disable hovering when creating a link to a webpage?
I'm not quite sure if this is what you call it. But when creating a link for example any websites for instance Myspace. Is there a code out there so when I go to click on that link posted on page it doesn't turn blue or doesn't highlight your words or images? I've seen people who have it, but can't seem to find it? What software is best for creating art through photography and digital designs?
I'm a photographer that is becoming more and more interested in combining photography and graphic design. Photoshop seems too complicated. I'd like to find something that is intuitive and can also be used to create original works.
Thank you. What software is best for creating art through photography and digital designs?
I'm sorry that PhotoShop is seeming too complicated for you, b/c it is a REALLY cool program, once you get the hang of it. There is so much that you can do w/ it. I thought I would never get the hang of it, but I did -w/ a lot of patience and practice, and it was so worth it to learn it. Since then, I've become very spoiled to it, b/c I have yet to find anything that even comes close to the features it has to offer.
The Corel programs are pretty cool, and they don't seem nearly as complicated as PhotoShop.
Maybe you could try some free trial downloads from download.com, and see which digital photo editing software you are most comfortable w/ before buying it. -That's just what I would do, personally.
I'm also not trying to imply anything, but the ';Dummies'; books and the ';Idiot's Guide to...'; books are great for learning new skills fast, and I believe there is a ';PhotoShop for Dummies'; -if you ever decide to give PhotoShop a go. Either way, I hope you do well w/ whatever software you decide is right for you. What software is best for creating art through photography and digital designs?
I use Corel 11 and Adobe InDesign . These are power easy-to-use software especially for pre-pressing and for setting up magazine covers.
Photoshop is rarely used and too complicated and has less friendly tools than Corel paint.
Corel Painter 10 would be good for this, I think.
http://www.corel.com
Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 is a good choice, but you may want to look into Adobe Photoshop Elements as well.
I will admit that there are many programs available for what your looking for but I have to be honest with you. Just bite the bullet and learn photoshop. It is hands down the best program available. I admit, it can be a little overwhelming for someone just starting to learn, but this is mostly due to the fact that photoshop offers a thousand ways to work your image when only twenty of them will ever really need to be used. Your best bet is to enroll in a beginner photoshop class somewhere (they should be available anywhere from community colleges to your local whatever its called organization that offers everything from yoga, curling, and web design classes. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the organization i'm thinking of but I get a catalog from them every six months or so. You could just try and teach yourself from a book but I wouldn't recommend it as your likely to just get frustrated and quit. I am trying to teach myself illustrator at the moment using a book and it's not going well. But if you can just take the first one or two photoshop classes somewhere you will learn almost everything you need to know. After that a book (i recommend the ';classroom in a book'; series) will be much easier to use and help you expand your knowledge of the program. But like I said earlier the only reason people think photoshop is so complicated is because it offers twenty times more things than you really ever will need. The best photoshop users are the ones who know how to use the program in its most simplistic fashion. Learning the selection tools and the proper way to use the color and exposure tools will give you 90 percent of the photoshop knowledge you will ever need. A beginners class will make this very easy, and you will be thankful that you did it. Just remember, the best way to ruin an image is to use too much photoshop. Like many things in life, the best photoshoped images are those in which you can't tell photoshop has been used at all. Secondly, a beginners photo class will help you to learn what makes an image good and allow you to hone your eye to make these aleterations without going overboard. Like every art form there is an underlying science behind what makes an image appealing to the eye. The only thing intrinsically artistic about photography is the choice of subject, everything else, (eg. composition, exposure, color balance) is horribly scientific and eventually boils down to formulas that can't be refuted.
What are some ideas for creating a poster board about anthropology?
I am doing a mid-term project in my Careers class. We have to select a career and design a poster board with information relating to our career. The career I am doing is an anthropologist. We are getting a ';creativity'; mark for our board - how can I make my board relate to being an anthropologist, and what sort of visual things (ie. colours, objects, pictures) can I add to the board? What are some ideas for creating a poster board about anthropology?
Some random thoughts:
4 main areas of emphasis within anthro: Physical, Linguistic, Ethnological (cultural), and Archaeology. So, you can show four major career paths.
Visually, the only difficulty would be with Linguistics, unless you want to confine yourself to written expression. You might set up an MP3 player with a variety of languages being spoken. Maybe something like ';Greetings in 35(or whatever) Languages!';
All the other areas offer many stimulating visual imagery: artifacts, clothing, body adornment, rituals, ceremonies, fossil remains, forensics, etc.

How do I create a business plan to give to the banks when I go to apply for a loan? What are the steps in creating a business plan?
Hello,
Great post. The most important part of business is advertising. This makes or breaks a business. Some of the best ways to advertise I've found are:
1. Offline promoting (business cards, flyers, newspaper and other print advertising).
2. Online promoting (buying banner ads, forum posts, email auto replies).
The best method that's worked for me so far is handing out business cards. I don't do this in the usual way.... I buy them in bulk from a place online (they give the cards for free, I just paid shipping and handling...they also give a really nice free business card holder, it looks impressive). They're really high quality. I just put all of the info about my business on the cards, and I hand them out on cars at bus stations, malls, etc. It's worked out really, really well for me, and it's completely inexpensive =)

Good Luck with your business! What are the steps in creating a business plan?
The main thing you will want to show them is a purchasing plan. But to be honest, I think you should approach the government before you approach a bank. If you are in the USA, it is very hard to get a loan these days with all the problems lately. 2 years ago I took out a loan for $10,000 and paid it all back within 1 year (even though I had 5 years to pay it back). This year I tryed to take out a loan for the same amount and I was turned down. I am still self employed like I was then, and still went through the same people I payed off last time, and was still turned down. The only thing that changed was the economy. So write up a purchasing plan...explaining all business expenses, things that will cost you money such as material, sewing machines, wages for extra helpers etc. and write out who you plan on buying these materials and items from and at what quantities. Then explain how you plan on profiting from it, meaning, how much you plan on selling it all for. It's best to write it all down using an excel spreadsheet to show everything neatly.

What are the laws on creating fireworks in California?
I was interested in making smoke bombs which consist of KNO3 and sugar. Also flash powder which is KNO3 and Aluminum powder. Possibly even making black powder. What are the laws against these or any basic firework and how can i get a permit to make said things and other fireworks? What are the laws on creating fireworks in California?
what do *you* think the law and common sense says, not what do you hope it says?
you call an attorney and get things cleared before proceeding.
this is post OK City, post 9/11 in case you didn't know. What are the laws on creating fireworks in California?
The law requires you to first call the police department and advise them to send the bomb squad over to your house to dispose of the material safely.
Potassium nitrate is also needed for rocketry. CA just isn't very nice to us citizens isn't it?
Black powder can be bought at most gun stores though, there is still hope!
i am not sure, but bomb making is illigel everywhere, so don't experement with the black powder. other than that not sure

What is the secret to creating awesome A Capella harmonies?
Is there is special formula? Thrids? Fifths? Anything you would like to suggest for creating harmonies? Thanks! What is the secret to creating awesome A Capella harmonies?
I'd suggest thirds and sixths. If you use fourths and fifths, your harmonies sound too hollow--like Gregorian chants. Thirds and sixths are consonant and full-sounding. Better yet, use triads, which are composed of a note, the note a third above, and the note a fifth above. If you add the note a minor seventh above, it sounds jazzy--like doo-wop.What is the secret to creating awesome A Capella harmonies?
In the 50's and 60's people would stand on street corners in brooklyn and the subway and it would just come natural like breathing to them. Listen to groups like the shirelles and rhonettes or any doo wop group and try to pick up some tips. You will be suprised on how that helps. Then with your group have each person pick out a voice in one of their songs and just mimick it and catch along with their harmonies. Once you can do that, when listening to regular music try to find the harmony on your own and once you find it sing along.

How would I go about creating an election poster of two candidates? Do you have any ideas?
I have to make an election poster, stating who would be a better king : Claudius or Hamlet in the play of Hamlet. Do you have any creative ideas of how I would go about doing this, just to jog my brain. I currently have the idea of dividing a poster in two - representing the two opposing sides, with quotes from each candidate, as well as pros and cons. Would this be the appropriate way of making an election poster? Do you have any better ideas? How would I go about creating an election poster of two candidates? Do you have any ideas?

Who to ask for creating an electronic version of a logo, a graphic design OR software tech student?
I'm looking for a student at my school to create an electronic version of a logo we've created for our student group. Where should I try to recruit this student, in the computer software department or graphic design student (they are split at my school)?
I'm worried that a graphic design student will want to DESIGN a logo for us, and we know exactly what we want already.
HELP!Who to ask for creating an electronic version of a logo, a graphic design OR software tech student?
That's what a graphic designer does. Takes your ideas and designs what you want. In this case a logo.
If you already have one, and just want it reproduced electronically, then that would be where I would go as well, as a graphic designer also recreates things.
Some in the software department MIGHT be familiar with programs needed to create an image, but a graphic design student is still your best bet.Who to ask for creating an electronic version of a logo, a graphic design OR software tech student?
I'd go with the graphics design student. (I'd also suggest clearly communicating what you need/want to be done.) Even if you know what you want, though, the graphics person may have a suggestion or two to improve on what you've done.
The graphics design student would also have the tools and is developing the skills to do the job. A software engineering student wouldn't necessarily have either the tools or the skills.
You can find many graphic designers live at website like http://ijug.net/graphicdesignservice.htm ,etc .

What will happen, when creating dreadlocks, if a residue free shampoo is NOT used?
I am planning on doing my boyfriend's dreadlocks. I am personally buying the materials, but I'm on a tight budget. To save money, i was thinking about holding off on the recommended residue-free shampoo. However, I'm worried wether this will have a bad affect on the outcome of the dreadlocks. What will happen, when creating dreadlocks, if a residue free shampoo is NOT used?
Ah, your other answer is totally wrong; sorry people on Yahoo answers can be so silly.
I assume you are starting by backcombing? Just a comment, I'd advise against wax : )
Onto your question, if you aren't using a residue free shampoo you will get buildup, this can lead to smelly dreads and just ickiness in general %26gt;.%26lt; It's not the worst thing in the world but it's really not good to make a habit out of washing with regular shampoos, it's better as an occasional thing.
Have you looked into common residue free shampoos? Here's an answer I gave on residue free shampoos you can get at regular drug stores / walmart etc:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Something I don't think I mentioned in there, you can even just use common dish soap. I know people that use it regularly as shampoo and I've used it multiple times when I go home and don't feel like bringing any other shampoo. It makes sense that it has to be residue free, because you don't want residue on your dishes and stuff : ) Some people don't like how strong it is, I'd definitely say give it a shot though, very cheap and convenient.
Feel free to use the link in my profile to email me if there's anything else I can do for you : )What will happen, when creating dreadlocks, if a residue free shampoo is NOT used?

From my knowledge we don't create dreadlocks..
You stop combing your hair for along duration of time..

Thats what rastas do..
I don't know about the other 'methods'..
And y do you want you bf to have dreadlocks..

What is involved in creating a computer operating system?
I know what I want the interface to be like, so how do I create one? Do I need detailed programs? Do they cost anything? What is involved? What is involved in creating a computer operating system?
Creating an Operating System requires that you either have several million dollars in resources to hire the top programmers to develop and initiate it.
Or, you must be a multi talented programmer yourself with a working knowledge of different computer languages. What is involved in creating a computer operating system?
If you know what the interface style you want, then just create a visual for the operating system you are using now.

How do I avoid creating shiny patches when ironing black clothes?
When I iron black Ts or pants with a bit of stretch in them I often end up with shiny patches. The label usually says 'cool iron' but I find that if the iron is that low it doesn't actually get rid of creases - then when I turn it up I get the shiny patches. Any suggestions? How do I avoid creating shiny patches when ironing black clothes?
This is a common issue. I just place a thin cloth (like an old scarf or even a pillow case) over the black clothes to avoid placing the iron directly on the fabric. That way, I can iron at a decent heat setting and even use a little steam if necessary - and no weird shiny patches. It works like a charm every time! How do I avoid creating shiny patches when ironing black clothes?
The earlier answers are all sensible advice but no-one has advised you to stop moving the iron over the cloth.
I haven't used an iron for ages. My old aunt used to say hang it on the washing line carefully and the heat of your body will take care of the the rest.
You save electricity that way, too.
Bring back the grunge look!
There are clothings like that so you must handle it with care. If its not too much of a hassle, used fabric conditioner. So that when you iron clothes you don't need tp put your iron on a high temperature. High temperature will damaged the clothing.
Use a pressing cloth like this:
Find a very thin, plain tea towel, or a large man's handkerchief (the best).
Wet it and wring every drop of moisture out - flatten it and place it over the area to iron. It works every time.
Keep the cloth for this purpose only.
Good luck.
ALL SUGGESTIONS GOOD. Just lay a linen tea towel over when ironing, high heat and steam not a problem. The worthy wear white, black is not Godly. Sorry pastors read your bibles.
This happened to my son on his first attempt at ironing his Cadet uniform. We use a damp tea towel placed over the item and then iron. Still produces steam to help get the wrinkles out without leaving shiny marks.
if the surface if the iron is 2 dry, the heat will create the shiny patches. every 30 seconds wipe the iron with a cool damp rag. Holla.
keep your iron on as low as possible and just keep increasing the heat until it works.
and dont iron in one spot so much.
cp
Few things...put in dryer and remove and hang ASAP...wont need to iron.
Don't turn it all the way up.
Iron with a towel over shirt.
Steam instead of iron
The iron cannot be too hot.
Remove clothes promptly from the dryer so they don't get major wrinkles in the first place.
put a newspaper or paper towels over it and then iron the clothes
Iron it inside out, or use a pressing cloth to avoid creating shine.
YEA always turn your clothes inside out to iron dark clothing.
I love black but hate to iron. I bought a steamer. It saves so much time and your shiny problems are over.
Use a pressing cloth on a light setting. Good luck.
Maybe, you should use a little more water?or ironing the clothese more quickly.

if the surface if the iron is 2 dry, the heat will create the shiny patches. every 30 seconds wipe the iron with a cool damp rag. Holla.
keep your iron on as low as possible and just keep increasing the heat until it works.
and dont iron in one spot so much.

Good luck.
Maybe, you should use a little more water?or ironing the clothese more quickly.
turn you black clothes inside out first.
